St Malo Evacuation Celebrations

On the weekend of 14-16 June, we will be holding our traditional races to and from St Malo to celebrate the part St Helier Yacht Club played in Operation Ariel with the evacuation of the British troops in 1940. We race down on the evening of Friday 14th June. On Saturday morning the rally will join the fleet for a procession, dressed overall, into the Bassin Vauban followed by a pontoon party in the afternoon. The Evacutaion Race will be held on Sunday 16th.
There will be a reception in the club on Tuesday 18th June:

Dress Jacket & tie (Club tie if possible)

Time Members are requested to be in the clubroom by 18:30 as our distinguished guests will start arriving at 18:45
There will be a presentation of new and re-issued Ensign Warrants during the evening and the Commodore will be presenting trophies from the weekend’s Evacuation Races. Canapes will be served during the evening and a free drink on arrival.
