Carey Olsen Jersey Regatta
Welcome to the Jersey Regatta, kindly sponsored for the third year running by offshore law firm Carey Olsen. All is set for what we anticipate will be another truly enjoyable and memorable three days competition for all, novice and regular sailors, alike. As ever, this is an open event for local and visiting boats who are assured of a very warm welcome.
The Regatta gets under way on Thursday 1st September with a Commodores welcome followed by a reception and briefing in St Helier YC. The cruiser, sportsboat and Quarter Ton classes open the race programme with a coastal race on Friday morning whilst the dayboat, dinghy, sport catamaran and windsurfer fleets make their first appearance in St Aubins Bay later in the afternoon. These races are separate to the main Regatta carrying many trophies and prizes of their own.
Races held over Saturday and Sunday count for the Regatta prizes, trophies and class championships. Indeed, there are place prizes and trophies galore in all classes for each day. We are delighted that the prestigious GBR IRC Channel Islands Championship for cruisers (rorcrating.com) will, again, run in tandem with the cruiser programme and are grateful to Spinlock for donating prizes for this, the 9th edition of this great event.

Entry is, exclusively, on-line through the Enter Here button. Please note that early bird fees are available up Friday 12th August, inclusive. Thereafter, the standard entrance fee applies until Friday 26th August, the cut-off date. We hope, of course, that you will take advantage of the early bird fee. Irrespective, this annual sailing jamboree is a fun event designed to give everyone plenty of opportunity to meet and enjoy the clubs hospitality after each days racing. To this end, there are complimentary drinks and suppers included in the entrance fee on all evenings bar Saturday when the not-to-be-missed separately ticketed RCIYC Regatta Party is being held. Tickets will be available from the clubs.
