Rally Information
Our Rally events are open to all types of boats - motor, sail and RIBs, fast and slow alike - and focus on the social side of boating and cruising in company, helping less experienced skippers gain in confidence.
The Club organises trips away to popular ports like Carteret, Granville, St Cast, Guernsey and Herm, as well as to some of our reefs, such as Les Ecrehous and Les Iles Chausey.
Each June, we hold a very special event, the Evacuation Rally to St Malo, to commemorate the Clubs part in helping to evacuate allied troops from the city, just before it was occupied by the advancing German army in 1940, earning the Club its defaced red ensign.
There is usually a welcome drink arranged for all crews at the destination yacht club, followed by a meal for those who wish to join in, or a barbeque cooked by our own volunteers. A modest registration fee charged for each event, which can be refunded or credited if we have to cancel an event due to bad weather. We also aim to hold local events, such as at St Aubins Fort, to give Members a taste of our events without much travelling.
We encourage all Members to give one of our events a try, but you will generally need to resister as soon as the newsletter announces the event, as we are often limited in the number of boats that can be accommodated in the foreign marina.

March 25th - 29th: Easter Rally
A local season-opener event, likely to start with bacon rolls at St Aubins Fort and picnic lunch at Beauport. TBC
April 30th - May 3rd: Rally to Guernsey
Rally to Guernsey, with a meal out in town and a possible trip to Herm.
May 29th - 31st: Rally to St Cast
Rally to St Cast, to join the racing crews with a welcome drink and meal.
June 18th - 20th: Evacuation Rally
St Malo Evacuation Rally to commemorate the Clubs actions in 1940 with a mass passage of the lock and a welcome celebration.
July 16th - 18th: Rally to Carteret
Carteret rally and barbeque at their yacht club, with a possible trip to Portbail or Les Ecrehous on the Sunday.
July 24th - Aug 1st: West Counrty Tour
West Country tour.
August 27th - 30th: Rally to Granville
Rally to Granville with a welcome at their yacht club, a visit to their market and a meal in town.
September 17th - 19th: Rallye to St Quay-Portrieux
Rally St Quay-Portrieux to join the sailing crews with a welcome at their sailing club and a friendly race around their bay.
October 15th - 17th: Rallye Hubert
Rallye Hubert yo Granville.
