Easter Rance Rally Announcement

Your Rally Committee has proposed a full programme of six Social Boating events for the coming season, which we hope will attract both suitable weather forecasts and a good number of Members and their vessels. To start the ball rolling, we are pleased to announce the very popular Easter Rance Rally 18th -21st April.
Below you will find a link to register please do so NOW if you intend joining us, or even if you think you might, as numbers are limited and it is entirely possible that with the past popularity of this event, there will NOT be a further call to register. All further communications will be via the emails you enter on registration.
Our itinerary is currently as follows:
- Friday 18th April Depart Jersey for St. Malo on the morning tide (HW at 09:56) and go straight through the lock into Bassin Vauban for our allocated moorings in the marina. Lock times are 08:07 through to 12:07 French time. We will be joining the racing crews at a reception at the St. Servan (SNBSM) Yacht Club for welcome drinks early evening. Dinner will be by individual choice.
- Saturday 19th April We will lock out of the Bassin Vauban (lock times 09:08 to 13:08) on the morning tide and pass through the Barrage lock and head up to Plouer for our allocated berths. After an afternoon at leisure, we have dinner booked at the Restaurant La Cale in their function room, with beer, wine and soft drinks provided courtesy of your Rally Committee.
- Sunday 20th April Those with sufficient draft (1.4m) can lock through at Le Chatelier from 12:00 and take a trip up to historic Dinan for shopping and a meal out. We are currently awaiting clarity on mooring availability, so this may just be a daytrip and back to Plouer for the evening. Those registering will be kept advised on this in due course.
- Monday 21st April return to Jersey for those not taking part in the Canals Cruise.
- Tuesday 22nd April For those taking part in the Canals Cruise, we depart from Dinan after stocking up at the supermarket.
Immigration formalities can be undertaken by email directly to Plouer, so there is no need to visit the St Malo Immigration Office in person, details again will be emailed to those registered in due course.
We are offering those who are new to this route, or who prefer the security of travelling with other boats an option to Cruise in Company. If you wish to take advantage of this, please click the relevant box on registration. To assist with planning, we would like to invite all attending to a briefing meeting on Monday 24th March at 18:00 in the Chart room, upstairs in the clubhouse.
The cost of entry is £10 per boat, plus an additional £5 for any non-members attending. This is refundable if we have to cancel due to bad weather.
