Dear member,

I would like to thank Cath Moisan and her Social Committee for all their hard work.  They have given us a great end to the year in spite of the ever increasing difficulties with Covid-19. If you have been down to the Club this month you will have seen what a wonderful job they have done in decorating the Clubroom this year. Unfortunately, we were unable to enjoy the decorations last year due to lockdown, so it is marvellous to be able to see it looking so spectacular.

For those of you who attended the Annual Dinner I think we all agreed that it was one of the best Dinners that we have had for many years, I cant remember when we have had to put up a notice on the board telling members that we were fully booked. The food and the entertainment were superb so next year remember to book early!

On Saturday, we had a lovely afternoon at the club with festive entertainment including a selection of Carols and other Christmas songs. Many thanks to Nick O' Hare who led the singing and Francis Murton on the keyboard. Special thanks for Father Christmas who managed to give up some of his very valuable time at this busy time of year to hand out presents to our youngsters.

Looking ahead we have our Festive Fun Race on Tuesday 28th December. This is a fun event with prizes for the Best Dressed Yacht and crew so do consider entering or if not come down to the Club at lunchtime for a Festive drink & Mince Pie afterwards.

We are very much hoping that we will be able to hold our New Years Eve Party this year. We have had to restrict numbers due to Covid-19 so unfortunately we are now fully booked but if you want to put your name on a waiting list please let Jason know in the Office.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Jason and Sarah for all their hard work in the Office and also to Bruno, Steve and Alan for looking after us all so well.

Rhys.
