Rally to Carteret Announcement

With a poor weather forecast causing the cancellation of the St Cast Rally in May, (although 4 hardy sailing boats went anyway and flew the SHYC flag), and the 85th anniversary St Malo Evacuation Rally only a few days away, our planning quickly shifts to the Carteret Rally on the weekend of 11-14th July. This is of course the weekend of the Bastille Day celebrations in France, although it must be said that the famous Carteret fireworks are going to be on the big day itself, the 14th, which is the Monday, so those wanting to see the main event will need to have a little time flexibility.
However, your Rally committee have organised a barbeque at Carteret Yacht Club on the Saturday evening, complete with the musical accompaniment of a gipsy jazz band called Spad Trio. So please register for the event now if you would like to join us in Carteret, using the link below. All of our rallies so far this year have been fully subscribed, with a waiting list, so please dont delay, or you may miss out.
We plan on arriving on the Friday evening tide, as the legendary Barneville market is held on the Saturday morning, with time in the afternoon to top up the wine cellar from the local shops, or just to soak up the atmosphere in the Bar du Port.
For this event, we will be organising a cruise in company, so please do tick the box if you would like to take advantage of this.
The registration deadline for entering this Rally is Monday the 16th of June, so please register NOW if you intend joining us, or even if you think you might, as there will NOT be a further call to register. All further communications will be via the emails you enter on registration, including how to complete immigration formalities.
