Registration is now open for our next rally to Carteret over the August Bank Holiday weekend the 26th to 29th of August.  As always, space needs to be booked in advance for the marina and the venue, so this event is on a first-come, first-served basis dont delay, reserve your space now.  The event is open to all types of boat and the planned itinerary (subject to weather, etc) is as follows:

Arrival in Carteret Friday 26th or Saturday 27th August
Travel to Carteret at your own pace. Being a spring tide bank holiday weekend, there are lots of options, arrive Friday evening or Saturday morning at high tide and catch the market day up in Barneville, or take all Saturday to get there via Les Ecrehous.  The marina gate times will be circulated in due course to all registered skippers.

BBQ at Barneville-Carteret Yacht Club -Saturday 27th August
All crew are invited to a complimentary aperitif outside the Yacht Club from 18:00 French time. Further drinks are then available to purchase as usual from the Yacht Club bar.  We will then be serving a complimentary Barbeque supper outside the clubhouse from around 19:30 French time.  We could do with a few helpers, so please indicate on the registration form if you are able to help prepare, serve, clear up, etc.

Return to Jersey Sunday 28th or Monday 29th August
The return journey to Jersey is again flexible, with 4 tides to choose from, so either stay on and explore the sights, restaurants and bars of Carteret or take the slow route back via Les Ecrehous. Crews taking part in the Offshore Race No 6 will be joining in the fun and racing back on the Monday.

To register for this event, simply complete this Carteret Rally registration form. Procedures for Passport Control will be communicated to all registered skippers.

Finally, please note that there is no longer a requirement for Covid testing to travel to France, as long as you are fully vaccinated, but it remains the responsibility of every skipper to ensure that they keep up to date on the current regulations and that all their crew are carrying the relevant certificates.

We last visited Carteret for a rally in July 2018, when it was a very popular event, so we do hope the weather continues to be kind to us and we can repeat the success after a 4-year break.  We hope you can join us on this, and future rally events.

Calm seas,

Your Rally Committee.
