NoR part 1 which applies to all the Club organised races and includes rules that affect every race unless modified by Part 2, has been posted to the website.

For this year we are keeping NoR part 2 which details rules that apply to specific series or races separate and they will be posted against each race or series as applicable. The SIs will be posted against the specific race as in previous years.

The RYA has joined forces with the RORC Rating Office and Southwest Yacht Time Correction (YTC) to introduce a new national rating system for cruiser/racers. For further information follow this link: www.rorcrating.com/ya-ytc

For non-IRC racing, the Combined Clubs (SHYC & RCIYC) will be adopting this rating system from the 1st of April. A joint briefing note will be issued once it is possible for boats to apply for a YTC certificate, the necessary web page is currently in development.

For non-IRC racing for the Seapower Marine Spring Series we will therefore be using our Event Handicap.

The NoR part 2 for the Seapower Marine Spring Series has been posted to our Yacht Racing web page.

We are delighted that Seapower Marine are sponsoring the series and there will be a prizegiving after each days racing. For this year we will be running a white sail class with class 3 being split in to a) and b).

For the quarter ton class the NoR part 1 (clause 1.5.4) states for this year that boats shall race in class Q if eligible but can apply to the Organising Authority to race in class 2 if it is felt more appropriate.
