NOTICE TO MEMBERS - CLUB REFURBISHMENT

New Clubroom Chairs and Bar Stools

The House Committee has the support of the Executive in proposing new furniture for the Clubroom as detailed below. A sample chair is on display beside the lift for members consideration.

Under Rule 8(i) Capital Expenditure in excess of £10,000 is required to be notified to members by virtue of a notice board announcement and website for a period of 30 days.

Upholstered Tub chairs - 60 in number
Bar Stools - 10 in number

A maximum expenditure of £15,000 is proposed to include G.S.T. and delivery to Jersey but subject to final negotiations on price.

Additional Information

These chairs are to replace those with wooden arms in the upper part of the Clubroom which are no longer serviceable.

The blue stacking chairs in the lower deck area are to be retained for dining and meeting purposes for the time being.

Sofas and coffee tables for 2 areas of the upper Clubroom have been ordered and are to be installed when delivered.

New balcony tables will be installed in the Spring to replace those which were dumped last year

New methods of displaying fraternal Club Burgees are to be tested with feedback from members being welcomed.
